Job Details

This position is responsible for assisting with daily processing ofdiagnostic specimens, data entry into the laboratory's softwaresystem, dissection of deceased animals submitted for autopsy,maintenance of clean and safe laboratory spaces, disposal ofanimal and laboratory biohazardous waste, laundry, cleaning andautoclaving glassware. All other duties as assigned. Regular working hours will be 9 am to 6 pm Monday through. Friday. May require some overtime, occasional Saturdays and holidays. Intermittent exposure to foul odors from animal remains/samples. Possible exposure to diseases communicable from animals to humans. Hazardous chemical and equipment use. Rabies prophylactic vaccination (or proof of adequate titer) required. Provided by OADDL. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
