Cost Analyst

This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
• Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives.
• Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules.
• Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.
• Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.
• Tracks program/project status and schedules.
• May provide expertise in a particular business and/or domain area such as logistics, financial management, change management, talent management; or in a specific technology area.
• Performs role of project manager for projects and service requests through NHDSM.
• Assists in defining business & technical requirements with customer.
• Develops and recommend solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.
• Facilitates internal and external coordination and communication among a variety of functional areas to ensure project progression.
• Provides feedback and recommendations for process improvements within the product teams.
• Monitors & updates Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) for assigned projects.
• Hosts regular status meetings with customers to report project performance and address outstanding actions.
• Completes audits for all on-premise and AWS GovCloud hosted systems to ensure accurate record keeping and reconciles any discrepancies in records.
• Performs role of cost analyst in support of DNAs Cloud & On-Premise Infrastructure, Hosting, and Lab Support teams.
• Develops estimates for service requests through NHDSM.
• Assists in defining pricing requirements for fiscal year planning purposes.
• Works directly with customers and PMs to provide basis of estimate for all outbound cost estimates.
• Provides feedback and recommendations for process improvements within the product teams.
• Completes cost audits for all on-prem and cloud projects to ensure accurate record keeping and reconciles any discrepancies in records.

Basic Requirements and Education Requirements:

• Jr: 0-3 years and Associates Degree; Journeyman: 3+ years and Bachelors Degree.
• Allowable substitutions: Jr: 2 years + HS Diploma or equivalent; Journeyman: 7+ years and Associates degree OR 9+ years and HS
• Security Clearance: Secret (must be a US Citizen). Top Secret may be needed in the future.
• Location,Telework and Travel: 1x per week on-site. Customer reserves the right to require return to office.
• Contract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
