Lumber Yard Hand

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Lumber Yard Hand. This role involves assisting yard personnel, delivery drivers, and warehouse, with the loading and unloading of lumber and other building materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position offers a clear pathway to advance to multiple positions within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist delivery drivers with the loading and unloading of materials onto delivery trucks.
• Ensure that all materials are properly secured and safely transported.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the lumber yard.
• Perform inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed (training will be provided).
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a lumber yard or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
