We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to join our team!

This would be an attractive role for someone with a Business Analytics background who has an interest in finance, business partnering, utilizing their skills in Power BI, Snowflake and SQL.

What you will do here:

• Collaborate with FP&A team members and business stakeholders to lead financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue and expense driver analysis
• Support long-range planning for Cengage, including modeling, coordination, and consolidation of business unit financial projections
• Maintain models to support long-term decisions by understanding profit and loss impacts
• Identify efficiency opportunities based on business dynamics
• Assist with preparing financial projections for planning and investment decisions
• Assist in developing market and competitor intelligence and analyzing business opportunities

Strategic Analytics & Reporting

• Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics team to develop next generation of internal reporting, including development of financial and operational dashboards
• Support Financial Systems team to evaluate opportunities to integrate predictive analytics and machine learning capabilities to our driver-based forecasting tool
• Prepare and distribute monthly segment reports reflecting financial performance, KPI trends, and business outlook
• Proactively identify key insights in performance trends and provide analysis
• Streamline planning and reporting for continuous improvement by automating data flows and standardizing processes across business areas
• Update financial reporting structures to align with business management requirements
• Craft reporting materials for executive team, private equity sponsors, and quarterly investor presentations

Skills you will need here:

• 3 years of experience in business analytics, FP&A, or a similar role
• Basic knowledge of financial statements - Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and data analytics tools (Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, etc.); Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple activities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity, resourcefulness, flexibility, and a willingness to collaborate
• Self-starter who takes initiative; confident under pressure and meets deadlines

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
